God bless the Filipino people by Betina

People say that rain signifies abundance, and that we should be thankful whenever it chooses to shower us with its entity. After everything that has happened the past week, people may think otherwise for Maring and the Monsoon has brought series of tragedies upon our country. Despite this, I still perceive the downpour as a blessing; for from the floods emerged the heroes everyone sought for.

God bless the Filipino people.

GAIL TOLENTINO

Gail Yang is a woman who is fueled by her passions. All throughout her life she has submerged herself in the arts, and has been able to express herself through different mediums such as dance, culinary arts -- which is now her major in De La Salle College of Saint Benilde -- and of course, through fashion. She is a simple woman who values her friends, family, and religion; and who at a young age of seventeen is currently co-owning an online shop called Cutting Edge Manila.

Her dark mahogany hair with the streaks of blonde caressed her shoulders freely, bordering her luminous face and those furiously sexy red lips— her smile that can brighten the darkest day, her laugh that turns me upside down, her voice that brighten up my day and her heart where I can forever drown.

But know of other less in-demand traits, hunting for dresses and long makeup waits. Desires confusing, wide-swinging moods, weird movie choices and strange attitudes, periodic piques aligned with the moon and stares that appear with devils attuned. She has no special talent. No special beauty mark. The beauty of hers is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries or the way she combs her hair. It’s in her eyes, the doorway to her heart. It’s not in her facial mode but in her reflected soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives and the passion that she shows.

The only thing that’s pulling her back, is the confidence, where she lacks. But with enough confidence, she’s more than what she is right now— a woman with endless capabilities.

She tries her best to expose herself to new things, that she may grow to be a wise, confident, and well-rounded person. Currently running an online shop called Astra Manila, Betina tries her best to find the balance in craving and needing.

Tiarra is free-spirited. She loves to express herself through the way she dresses -- mixing colors and prints, dressing dainty and at times, edgy -- never afraid to take things to the next level. As a graduating student this 2014, she has a lot of dreams for herself in the future, such as modeling, and hosting events. Tiarra is versatile. she is confident. She is golden.

Alyssa Daguro (Ali) loves a good adventure. She is a young, vibrant woman who is currently taking up Medical Technology in the home of the Tamaraws. She is a risk-taker, and never lets an opportunity go to waste; which is why when the chance to put up Style Mixer -- a fashion blog -- showed itself, Ali, although hesitant at first, went for it. She is a person who aims to spark change in others.
